The land of the Red Prince, a land full of charm
The seven itineraries dedicated to the Red Prince were created to present the Radicchio di Chioggia Igp production land. That is a particular, unique, land: formed over the millennia thanks to the contribution of materials that the rivers Po, Adige, Brenta and their tributaries have brought from the Alps to the Adriatic. A mixture of sandstone rocks, moraine formations, alluvial soils, sands and fossil dunes that contribute in determining the characteristic flavor of radicchio, but which qualify this land as one of the most beautiful and interesting in the world.
You will discover it through the paths collected in this publication, cycling in a land that is no longer land and in a sea that is not yet sea, meeting the hundreds of species of animals that attest the high biodiversity and naturalistic component of these places. This area is naturally suited to slow tourism. The particular landscape, created by the rivers and the sea with its naturalistic aspects, the sense of peace, health and well-being combined with the cultural elements of its main urban centers makes this area of Veneto extremely fascinating for lovers of travel on two wheels. Especially since the main cycle routes that cross Northern Italy have, as their terminal, the area between the Venice Lagoon and the Po Delta.
